The Appalachian Trail Conservancy now
provides on line access to GPS data Appalachian Trail. See the their
Download Site for details including their Data Download Agreement.
We have translated the ATC's shape files into the KML format. In addition, we have separated the shelters along the trail into sections for each maintaining club. This data was originally assembled for a technology presentation at the Southern Partnership meeting.
